Product Studio expands to new regions while Amazon announces new store

Google’s Product Studio is going global.

Previously only available in the US, Canada, and Australia, it’s now hitting the UK, India, and Japan.

… Which means marketers in those countries can now use AI to generate images for ads and websites, edit backgrounds, and more.

If you’re among them, you should be able to access these AI tools in Merchant Center Next or the Google & YouTube app on Shopify.

Product Studio has new features, too: You can now upload product images to the platform for editing, and there are new themed templates you can play around with.

There’s even talk of video creation and brand styling tools coming soon. Pretty cool.

Looks like SHEIN and Temu got under its skin: Amazon is planning to launch a new section for cheap fashion, lifestyle products, and more.

Many of the items will cost less than $20 and ship directly from China to the US, so… it seems Amazon is adopting the same model as its competitors.

While this provides more sales opportunities for Chinese sellers, it could mean extra competition for your brand, especially with the influx of cheaper alternatives.

There’s currently no set date on when the new section will become available but Amazon will be taking on products this fall.

… Right around the holidays. Hopefully this means a new channel and sales opportunities for you instead of more competition. Fingers crossed…
