New opportunities on TikTok, and automatic ads come to Google Maps

“Traditional” marketing? No. “Out of Phone” marketing? Yes.

TikTok’s Out of Phone offering is merging with its Branded Mission to create more real-world marketing opportunities.

We’re talking billboards, in-store displays, cinema promos, and more.

If you didn’t know already, Branded Mission allows brands to launch campaigns creators can participate in by posting unique content that aligns with the promotion.

The fusion lets you integrate user-generated content (UGC) with more elaborate campaigns.

And it seems Branded Mission encourages UGC, can expand your reach, and keep the creativity wheel turning.

After all, hundreds of heads are better than one, right?

And if you’re looking to broaden your reach another way, Google’s Local Service Ads (LSAs) are coming to Google Maps for iOS users only—for now.

Basically Google will use existing data and reviews to create ads automatically, requiring no action on your part.

And it will only charge you for qualified leads, and Google will use your existing bids. Nice.

There’s currently no opt-out option aside from disabling LSAs altogether, but since the update is likely to increase your exposure with no additional effort, you may as well keep them on.

Just keep an eye on your performance metrics and adjust as needed.
